As you well know by now, this blog was originally built to increase the online visibility of Studio Up – Web Design Milan on Google and other search engines. Having gathered excellent results with our custom SEO strategy, we are continuing with hands-on experiments for specific keywords.
Today we are working on the keyword SEO Agency Milan (Agenzia SEO Milano), a highly competitive term fought over by thousands of SEO experts in Milan and all over Italy. We will monitor our progress, as we always do, using Google's Webmaster Tools (now known as Google Search Console) and we will update this article showing the results we achieve in the coming months. Usually, the time required to achieve a prominent position is about 3-4 months. Fingers crossed!
At the moment, as you can see in the image below, we are not even listed in the top 100 pages for the keyword SEO Agency Milan... let's just say we can only go up from here! ;)

The SEO Experiment Challenge
If we manage to reach the first page of Google for the search query SEO Agency Milan, we will be able to confidently state that we are a valid and reliable partner for creating a winning custom SEO strategy for our clients. If, on the other hand, we fail in our difficult experiment... well... we will just try again with more effective tools!
In the meantime, we want to take this opportunity to share some "golden rules" (valid at the time of the experiment) for optimizing content and climbing the Google rankings with your articles or websites:
- Insert the exact keyword in the right percentage of the text (Keyword Density of about 2%).
- Do not create too many different pages targeting the exact same keyword (risk of keyword cannibalization).
- Always include outbound links from your page pointing to authoritative external sources.
- Ensure your article or page is mentioned and linked (Backlinks) on other authoritative websites that cover similar topics to yours.
- The page URL must absolutely contain your chosen focus keyword.
- The keyword must be presented in various "weights" throughout the text (e.g., in bold, inside H1/H2 headings, and in plain text).
- You must always fill in the SEO Title Tag and Meta-Description for Google search results.
- Always insert optimized images (using the Alt Tag attribute)!
Important Note: these suggestions alone are not enough to build a complex and winning SEO strategy from scratch, but they certainly represent a good set of basic practices that you can easily start following on your own. :)
